This is a single-session online workshop.

This decorative and functional book can be made with materials you probably have lying around at home. With a little paper-folding, cutting, and tape this simple structure can be created in a short amount of time, no special tools required.

Lightweight, with useful pockets, it makes a great travel journal, place to store mementos, index card holder or personalized gift. Using two-sided paper (a different color or pattern on each side) adds a lot of interest to the book; the instructor will also show ways to add surface design to your paper at the beginning of class, or you can bring your own patterned/decorated paper.

Materials to Bring:

  • A sheet of paper, any color or pattern, about 22”x18”, approx 98lb. weight -  about the thickness of construction paper, not heavy cardstock. If that isn’t available students may recycle a paper grocery bag.

Tools:

  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Glue stick or tape

Optional:

  • hole punch
  • collage
  • colored pencils
  • markers
  • stamps and stamp pads
  • white out pen
  • gel pens
  • general crafting supplies

Workshop Fee: $55
