Welcome to From the Bench, SFCB's series of short studio tours with friends near and far. From favorite tools to works in progress, you never know what you'll learn about from these amazing artists.

This month we'll chat with Steph Kudisch, a trans genderfluid artist whose work uses mutated intertidal aesthetics and personal storytelling to dwell in in-betweens.

They were selected for the San Francisco Center for the Book's 2022 Small Plates Project cohort, during which they created an edition of screenprinted books titled to take part in taking apart, honing in on queer collectivism & imagination, overlapping ecotones, and a refusal of climate nihilism.

Kudisch works as a teaching artist with the SF Children’s Art Center & as a one on one facilitator at Creative Growth Art Center.
