This one day workshop is designed for those who have never printed before, or least those who are prepared to forget what they already know. Come with boundless curiosity and a message that you want to get out to the world. Be prepared to sweat!

Two workshop seats per class will be reserved for low-income BIPOC-identifying (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) students. The application is now closed.

Be sure to check out the current exhibition at the Letterform Archive: Amos Paul Kennedy, Jr. :: Citizen Printer.

About the Instructor | Amos Paul Kennedy, Jr.

Amos Paul Kennedy Jr. is an American printer, book artist and papermaker who hails from Louisiana, but has made Detroit home. Mr. Kennedy is best known for social and political commentary, particularly in printed posters. He works with orphaned type and linocut imagery and patterns printed in layer upon layer of ink. The results are rich surfaces of deep texture and color.
