Learn to combine traditional bookbinding techniques such as link stitch sewing and cover insets with fun book accessories like functional paper pockets and bookmarks. Create a customized, hard-bound journal to get you through the year. Book pages will be made from graph paper, drawing paper, and pages upcycled from broken books, that will inspire you in the coming months. This eclectic collection of pages will be bound in the flat back style, and students will learn how to incorporate multiple bookmarks, two interior pockets, an elastic closure band, and a decorative inset on the cover. Each student will come away with a handmade book that is truly useful and unique!
