San Francisco Center for the Book is located at 375 Rhode Island Street (between 16th and 17th Streets) in the Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, and we are open to the public Wednesday through Sunday from 10 am until 5 pm.
We’re located in the DoReMi (DOgpatch-potREro-hill-MIssion) Arts District of San Francisco, and are lucky to be surrounded on all sides by galleries, art studios, and other arts organizations, including California College of the Arts. We encourage you to allow time to explore the neighborhood when you visit!
Reach SFCB via Public Transit
We are on or near SF Muni bus routes 19, 22, and 55. If you are arriving by BART to Civic Center station or by CalTrain, the Mission Bay Shuttle makes regular trips to Potrero Hill, and we are approximately a 20-minute walk from the 16th Street & Mission BART station.
Car and Bike Parking
A limited number of parking spaces are available in our parking lot at the north side of the building.
Street parking is usually available; check signs for zone and time limits. Sidewalk bike parking racks along Rhode Island Street have been provided by San Francisco Bicycle Coalition.
