Take a Workshop
We’re committed to providing opportunities to bring students and Instructors together. Our workshop programs have developed over many years to include a wide range of topics and techniques for students of all skill levels.
We offer classes in-person at our studio on Rhode Island Street, and online via Zoom. We hope to see you in one of our workshops soon!
Letterpress and Bookbinding Core Certificate Programs
Core Certificate Program allows scheduling flexibility with a comprehensive foundation in bookbinding or letterpress, personal attention from instructors, and access to our well-equipped print studio.
Individual workshop sessions are offered on weekends throughout the term, and a week-long intensive offers all four classes in one five-day weeklong session. Upon completion of the four-class series, students will receive a certificate of completion and be eligible to rent studio time to use our equipment, such as sewing frames, board shears, guillotines, presses, and more!
Tuition Assistance and Accessibility
Through the generous support of our donors, SFCB offers tuition assistance for most workshops. Learn more and apply below. If you are a person with a disability and require an accommodation to participate in a program, service or activity, or require documents in alternative formats, please contact Sarah Songer at 415-565-0545 x 103 or email at sarah@sfcb.org.
