This is a single-session online workshop.

Create beautiful art on canvas using melted beeswax, mulberry paper, tissue, sewing patterns and found images. This workshop includes an extensive kit with a mini melting pot, small iron, beeswax, brush, two canvases, and a packet of papers.

You will create one art piece in class with the option and enough supplies to make another. Participants are encouraged to include a photo or laser print of a personal photo, drawing, or quote along with any other lightweight paper ephemera. All levels welcome!

Please be sure to register for this class using your mailing address. The instructor will mail the kit to you via USPS Priority Mail. 


Materials to Bring: 

- Scissors
- Scrap paper to protect work surface
- Access to outlet to plug in two electric devices
- Optional: photocopy or laser print of a photo, drawing, or quote / lightweight papers or tissues

Workshop Fee: $150

Date & Time: Saturday, November 7, 2020:: 2-4:30pm Pacific time

Location: Online over Zoom

Please note, this workshop will be held live over Zoom. The class will NOT be recorded/distributed to students for later viewing.

Cancellation policy: Student cancellations up to 7 days before the class will receive workshop credit. However, if a student must cancel after kits have shipped (approximately 3 weeks before the workshop) the cost of the kit will be deducted from the issued credit.

REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE 3 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE START DATE OF THIS WORKSHOP TO ALLOW TIME FOR KITS TO BE SHIPPED.


About the Instructor | Elaine Chu

Elaine G. Chu has taught students of all ages, in person and online. Her work has been featured in “Greencraft” and “Somerset Studio” magazines as well as “1000 Artists’ Books.” She co-authored “Wood Paper Scissors,” a how-to crafts book.
