Learn to combine traditional binding techniques with common journal features to create a fun, customized, hard-bound book. You will get to practice your link stitch sewing, add a bookmark or two, and learn about sewn-in hinges made of book cloth which will help your book stand up the wear of everyday use. The instructor will guide students through making accordion style paper pockets from scratch for the inside covers, creating a decorative inset on the front cover, and finally, an elastic closure band to keep it all secure.
