Learn the basics of linoleum-block design, carving, and printing. Led by master printer Rik Olson, you’ll create a linoleum print of your own design, drawing, or image. You will get tips on using carving tools, transferring images to the block, and registering colors, plus Rik’s own secrets to a beautifully executed print.

Materials to bring: An idea of the image (6” by 8”) you want to create. Do sketches at the 6” by 8” size so we can transfer them to the blocks; please allow a border. If you have woodcut or linocut tools of your own, please bring them. Speedball linocut tool sets will be available for use during the workshop. Your materials fee will cover three 6” by 8" blocks; ink; and paper.
