Curious about the world of letterpress printing but not sure where to start? Wondering if letterpress printing is up your alley? Get your feet wet in this introductory workshop by pulling your own print off both a Vandercook cylinder press and a tabletop platen press. You will learn the difference between the different types of presses as well as the basics of setting type using our vast collection of lead type and decorative ornaments. The instructor will give a full overview of the SFCB Letterpress Program and how (and why) to obtain the SFCB Letterpress Certificate.
