This is an in-person workshop. As of January 2023, masks are strongly encouraged but not required, unless otherwise indicated.

Jump into the fun and fabulous world of letterpress and play around with the design possibilities that unconventional materials like Legos bring to the table, and leave with a stack of prints.

This class will provide an introduction to creating one color prints using flat tile blocks to create pixel oriented images. The instructor will provide bases and tiles for use in class to create relief 'plates' that will be printed on a Cylinder press. Don't miss out on this easily accessible media that appeals to everyone's inner child. Come play with us!

This workshop is intended for adult kids - sorry, legal minors!

Past Student Reviews:

"I really enjoyed that we got to take home the prints that we made in the workshop. Thea clearly explained the operation of the letterpress and answered all of our questions (how the base blocks were made; lego sourcing) and had the materials ready to go (including sample letter layouts and flat bricks pre-organized into tupperware)."

"It was a lot of fun! I enjoyed the freedom to explore colors and techniques while still having Thea there to answer any questions I had. She made the class very informative, creative and FUN!"

“Thea really knows her stuff, and was an excellent teacher."
