Discover how to combine the simple structure of an accordion book with playful elements such as pop-ups, collage, photo-transfer and embroidery. In this class you will find out how to use the dimensional qualities of pop-ups to express poetic, narrative, or purely visual themes, and how to incorporate mixed media to convey your ideas.
Do you have a short poem or saying that you would like to illustrate with mixed media, or a theme you’d like to explore? Bring an idea or just come and see what emerges when you play with the materials.
Materials to Bring: Students can bring ideas for content, like a short poem or saying, riddle, or visual theme. However they can also just dive in on the day and see how the materials inspire them.
Workshop Fee (includes $15 materials fee): $75.00
