Students in this workshop will gain an understanding of how to transfer a xeroxed drawing or photograph onto a scratchboard. The instructor will demonstrate how to add lines to the board's surface to create the light to dark values desired to complete the image. A variety of scratch mark making techniques will be shown using various tools such as a scratch knife, X-acto knife with a No 11 blade, sandpaper, and a ruler to help create straight lines.
