There are many variations on the single-page folded book, aka the maze book. The structure taught in this workshop is intriguing because it appears to be a standard codex; but, when unfolded, it is revealed to be a single page, with a center cut. The content can be images, text, or a mixture of the two. Learn how to use a book dummy to arrive at the correct imposition of type and/or images. Work collaboratively to design a book while you practice typesetting and printing on the Vandercook proof press. The day will finish with folding the books and exchanging with fellow students. Everyone takes home 10 copies.
Materials to Bring: Optional: text of up to 20 words to print inside your book.
Workshop Fee (includes $15 materials fee): $180.00
