Who needs movable type when you've got toys to print from? Take your love of pixels and learn the basics of letterpress while creating multi-color prints from your favorite childhood building blocks.

A great alternative to traditional letterpress practices, Lego printing adds fun and flexibility to the letterpress aesthetic. This daylong workshop allows students to delve deeper into all that is awesome about using building blocks to create images on press. The instructor will discuss the abundance of options printing from toys can add to your prints. Throughout the day students will learn the basics of letterpress from analog design techniques and simple multiple color registration to ink mixing and operating a Cylinder press. At the end of the day take home a small edition of wonderfully pixelated prints!
