Creative and versatile, the French doors binding is made up of two facing signatures that open away from each other. The resulting intersection of pages invites mismatched images, split text and playful interactions.

French doors binding is a wonderful way to bind two stories together into one or to tell one story in a unique and imaginative way. Students will create two separate signatures to be bound facing each other. Beginning with folding pages, everyone will then add visual and textual content utilizing stencils, collage, and drawing. The day will end with binding the signatures into a hard cover with exposed spines.
