There are many variations on the single-page folded book, aka the maze book. The structure taught in this workshop is intriguing because it appears to be a standard codex; but, when unfolded, it is revealed to be a single page, with a center cut. The content can be images, text, or a mixture of the two. Learn how to use a book dummy to arrive at the correct imposition of type and/or images. Review typesetting and printing on the Vandercook proof press. We’ll finish the day by folding the books and exchanging with fellow students. Everyone takes home 15 copies.

Materials to Bring: Optional: text of up to 50 words to print inside your book.
