You're a poet or an admirer of poetry. You’ve seen and admired poetry broadsides, and you would like to design and print one of your own. In this two-part workshop, you'll be able to do just that. At the evening meeting, we will review the history of broadsides, with an emphasis on the SF Bay Area; look at myriad examples; discuss design choices; and create a design for the poem you brought. If time permits, we’ll begin typesetting. During the daylong workshop we’ll finish typesetting and design, discuss editioning, and print the broadsides in one to two ink colors. Each student will leave with 20 copies of their broadside.

Materials to Bring: A poem of up to 20 lines.
