Learn to print on Tabletop Platen Press! Far smaller than a Cylinder Press, these clamshell-style presses are great for printing cards or small invitations. Unlike Cylinder Presses, they are capable of printing on oddly shaped papers as well as those of unusual thickness, such as coasters.

Topics covered include typesetting, locking up the chase, handling registration, and printing edition work. Completion of this 2-day workshop qualifies you to rent Tabletop Presses at San Francisco Center for the Book

Nina Eve has been obsessed with books since receiving Harold and the Purple Crayon as a child before she knew how to read. While receiving her BFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute, she took as many book and printmaking classes as possible. She now spends her time working as the Project Coordinator and teaching at SFCB, making and selling her printed and bookish wares, and learning French.
