Each person will make a skeleton with strong white cardstock and attach a book in the middle of the body. This book can be your own creation with mixed media materials you bring from home or materials provided.  An elk bone will be the spine for the book.  What a way to honor someone you love – tell her/his story!  This book is meant for Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) but could also be used for Halloween.

Materials to Bring: Scissors, glue stick, bone folder, cutting knife and blades, cutting mat, pencil

C.J. has taught thousands of adults and children how to make books.  She teaches book arts as well as mixed media collage and assemblage.  She also specializes in classes for teachers who want to make books with kids.  CJ lives in the East Bay, and exhibits internationally.
