Create a beautiful sketchbook with 140lb watercolor paper. The book will have an exposed-sewn binding and a protective flap. Magnets will be hidden inside the front cover board and a metal band will be hidden inside the flap. You will get to paint and decorate the covers, flap and spine during class. Some sewing experience would be helpful--but not necessary. Paper, needles, thread, magnet and metal provided.
Materials to bring: Bone folder, awl or needle tool, hole punch with 2mm bit, small triangle, watercolors, brushes, pencil, water-proof pen(s)

About the Instructor | Judy Serebrin
Judith’s books and sculptures have been exhibited widely and have been collected by libraries, museums and individuals in the United States and abroad. She has been making limited-edition and unique books from etchings, monotypes, watercolors and drawings since 1989. Her work has been featured in many books about Artist’s Books and contemporary ceramics. She has been teaching at the SFCB from the beginning!
