Print your own coasters on a tabletop platen press. Learn how to set up the press to print on the heavy, cushioned surfaces of coasters, then design and print your own edition using SFCB’s lead type, wood type, and ornaments. The instructor will provide a great resource sheet for supplies. 

Materials to bring:  Optional: bring a quotation or words you would like to print on your coasters.

About the Instructor | Nina Eve Zeininger 

Nina Eve has been obsessed with books since receiving Harold and the Purple Crayon as a child before she knew how to read. While receiving her BFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute, she took as many book and printmaking classes as possible. She now spends her time working as the Project Coordinator and teaching at SFCB, making and selling her printed and bookish wares, and learning French.
