  • Workshop End: August 2nd, 2014 5:30 PM
  • Sessions: 1

You've taken the basic floor model platen press class, but some issues remain perplexing: adjusting the platen and correcting rail height; tight registration; background printing; dampened paper for multiple runs; the niceties of editioning; printing and registering photopolymer plates; combining type, plates, and cuts; printing linos; overlay vs. underlay; roller height; changing ink color on the fly; etc.

Participants design a two-color broadside addressing some of these challenges and others, typeset the text, and dampen paper for the edition. We will print the broadsides while dealing with most of the aforementioned issues and leaping tall buildings.

Everyone takes home several copies of the broadside. The instructor has been anointed the Queen of Weird Lock-Ups. Need we say more?
