Create a hardback accordion and spend an evening exploring the versatility of this structure by creating a content-driven book. We'll add, subtract and pop out bits and pieces of the inner structure while combining images and text to create your own personal narrative. This is a great chance to bring out the bits and bobs you've been collecting or print out those photos you have sitting on your computer... This class is ideal for beginners and seasoned book artists; all are welcome to play and explore the possibilities of the accordion and its contents!

Materials to bring: Scissors, any personal images you'd like to work with in your book (5X7 or smaller).

Workshop + Materials fee: $90

Date & Time: Friday, May 2, 2014 | 6:30pm-9:30pm

Location: 375 Rhode Island St, San Francisco, CA 94103

Note: Please review our Registration Policies before signing up for a class

About the Instructor | Courtney Cerruti

Courtney is the author of Playing with Image Transfers, published by Quarry Books. Maker extraordinaire, Courtney sees books as objects to be read and re-purposed, candy wrappers as paper flower petals, toilet paper tubes as a menagerie of animals. She sees the potential in the discarded, history in the mundane and art in the everyday. She saves everything, makes anything and teaches from a place of passion and authenticity. Courtney believes everyone is creative and she’d rather spend an evening drinking tea and painting than doing anything else (except maybe scavenging treasures abroad). You can see Courtney's work on her website, or follow her on Instagram @ccerruti
