About the Instructor | C.K Itamura

C.K.Itamura is a letterpress and reduction linocut printer, photographer and producer. Her work blurs the lines between mediums as she combines letterpress and reduction linocut printing with photography, social commentary, personal idealism, live presentation and mixed media. Preferring the term sensory artist or just plain artist, over visual artist, she strives to absorb sensory inputs and regurgitate them in analogous forms.
In 2013, she was selected by San Francisco Center for the Book as one of ten Featured Artists to create an industrial sized linocut for the 10th Anniversary Roadworks Steamroller Printing Festival.
Her studio, Peach Farm Studio is based in Sonoma County. She teaches letterpress and reduction linocut classes and workshops in the San Francisco Bay Area and in the North Bay.
