Create your own totem animal with found and recycled papers and a wire armature. Sculpt and paper mache your animal form on day one and come back the second day to layer feathers, fur, or scales using vintage dictionary pages and found paper, creating a one of a kind animate ode to your favorite animal. Your final animal sculpture will be no bigger than one foot square.
Materials to bring:
Scissors, bone folder, high temp hot glue gun with refill sticks. Images of the animal you'd like to make taken from three different angles. Found or new paper that represents the characteristics of your animal - both stiff and floppy papers work, so bring a variety of texture, size, and weight appropriate to your animal's characteristics.
Materials fee: $35
