Discover how to combine the simple structure of an accordion book with the playful elements of pop-ups and collage. In this class you will find out how to use the dimensional qualities of pop-ups to express poetic, narrative, or purely visual themes, and how to incorporate mixed media, stamping and photo-transfer to convey your ideas.

Do you have a short poem or saying that you would like to illustrate with mixed media, or a theme you’d like to explore? Bring an idea or just come and see what emerges when you play with the materials. Here is the opportunity to combine content and form to communicate your unique vision.

Materials to Bring: Students can bring ideas for content, like a short poem or saying, riddle, or visual theme. However they can also just dive in on the day and see how the materials inspire them.

Workshop Fee (includes $15 materials fee): $70.00

Date & Time: Wednesday, January 30, 2019 :: 6:30-9:30pm
