The Victorian Style Album allows single sheets of paper to become a book block by attaching them to pieces of book cloth that can then be sewn together at the spine edge. A hard cover wrapped in book cloth will be added and students will learn how to add paste downs on the inside of each cover. As students bind a blank book in class using a heavy weight paper, the instructor will discuss how the size and design of the structure can be altered for future projects. This type of album lends itself to pre-printed pages and is a great option for photographers looking to showcase their work in the book format.
