DREAM Books (Mark's invention) are made using recycled or new corrugated cardboard or plastic and thin dowels or skewer sticks, creating an accordion fold structure with multiple possibilities for hinging, adding flags / windows, etc.

The basic DREAM Book structure can be painted / collaged, spray-painted, add text, rubber stamping, etc. Offers a world of possibilities from altered book concepts, woven components, pop-ups, etc. Can be made small (most of these examples are table size)  or very large, like former students who made huge 3 foot by 4 foot panels.

We will explore a variety of options for creating these DREAM Book structures. These are fun and easy books that can be altered in many ways.  Learn a variety of techniques for constructing these books horizontally or vertically.  After sharing DREAM Book models with friends and other teachers more and more variations have emerged!

We will consider a huge variety of ways to print, stamp, stencil, paint and make marks on our DREAM Books. Many templates will be available to use (and participants can make their own templates for future use).  Bring some DREAMING to your art and book making!
