Finally! An all day image transfer class! Learn the core methods for transferring images and text to all surfaces: paper, fabric, wood and metal, then spend the day playing and exploring the world of image transfers. Courtney will demonstrate methods and projects from her book, Playing with Image Transfers, then give you the day to play. Gain experience in different approaches that use inexpensive materials and go home with a wealth of knowledge and a pack of samples made in class! The Image Transfers course is great for beginners and seasoned artists who would like to add more dimension and depth to their work.

Materials to Bring: Scissors for detail cutting, bone folder, paper, fabric, sketchbook to work in, magazine clippings, two to three black-and-white laser copies of small images (3" or less), and two to three color laser copies of small images. Courtney will provide lots of materials and images for you to use as well.

About the Instructor | Courtney Cerruti

Courtney is the author of Playing with Image Transfers, published by Quarry Books. Maker extraordinaire, Courtney sees books as objects to be read and re-purposed, candy wrappers as paper flower petals, toilet paper tubes as a menagerie of animals. She sees the potential in the discarded, history in the mundane and art in the everyday. She saves everything, makes anything and teaches from a place of passion and authenticity. Courtney believes everyone is creative and she’d rather spend an evening drinking tea and painting than doing anything else (except maybe scavenging treasures abroad). You can see Courtney's work on her website, or follow her on Instagram @ccerruti
