Books by SFCB’s Own Rhiannon Alpers

Some of the beautiful book forms by SFCB’s Rhiannon Alpers. More of her work can be seen in Nina’s awesome post about Rhiannon’s open studio.

Rhiannon is a papermaker, letterpress printer and book artist.

Rhiannon has an MFA in Book and Paper Arts from Columbia College Chicago and a BA in Book Arts from UC Santa Barbara, College of Creative Studies.

She has taught workshops and college courses at San Francisco Center for the Book, Sonoma Community Center, Kala Printmaking Institute, Academy of Art University of San Francisco, Stanford University, Filoli Gardens Estate, Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz, Feather River Art Camp, Center for Book and Paper in Chicago, Columbia College Chicago, and Santa Reparata School of Art in Florence, Italy.

Rhiannon currently works at the Head of Studio Operations at SFCB, and is the Production Coordinator for the Imprint Publications program. She has apprenticed/interned at Turkey Press in Santa Barbara, Larksparrow Press in Evanston, and worked as a production bookbinder for the Paper Source Bindery in Chicago.

Naomi Bardoff
In 2010 Naomi Bardoff graduated from Bard College, where she majored in fine arts and studied watercolor, ink drawing, and book-making. She has also taken classes at the Chicago Center for Book and Paper Arts. Since moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, Naomi has been working on her illustration portfolio, working in offices, and volunteering and taking classes at the San Francisco Center for the Book. In addition to the SFCB blog, she blogs on her art blog, naomese - naomi bardoff's art blog; and pins to her Pinterest boards. Her own book work can be found on her website.
