Pulp: The Paper Medium Event

A little glitz and lots of paper — what’s not to love? On Thursday, May 19, SFCB participated in the joint ArtPoint and Museum of Craft and Design Pulp event at the Don Soker Gallery downtown. Attendees were invited to cut, glue, print, sew and fashion all manner of works in paper (some of our favorites were Royal Wedding-inspired paper bag hats perched atop heads circling the room). At the SFCB table, we brought in a Kelsey tabletop platen press and invited guests to print a journal cover and sew in pages to create a hand-bound book.

Paper art of all kinds. Julia Goodman, one of our favorite paper artists who also participated in the event, is standing to the far left.
