On Friday, May 5, 2017, we kicked off a spectacular summer of love at the Punctuation Party, San Francisco Center for the Book’s annual fun fundraising event. This year we celebrated the power of the semi-colon to bring independent clauses together, like “The Punctuation Party is super groovy; it’s a great excuse to dress like a hippie.” and “Thank you for supporting San Francisco Center for the Book; you are the best!”
Fab tunes from 1967 (the Summer of Love), Punctuation Portraits, silent auction prizes, savory delectables, scrumptious desserts, sensational cocktails, wines, and brews, and beautiful people like you filled the studio.
Premium Tickets
Premium tickets included a spectacular, commemorative, limited edition, three-color, Punctuation Party poster (the retail value of the poster is $75.00), letterpress printed at San Francisco Center for the Book, as well as access to all Punctuation Party music, dancing, amusements, food and libations. The vibrant, three-color, letterpress printed semi-colon themed official poster (pictured) for San Francisco Center for the Book's 2017 Punctuation Party was designed by Germán Montalvo, a Mexican designer and artist from Guadalajara, specializing in poster design. The poster, which was letterpress printed at San Francisco Center for the Book, was included with each Premium Ticket purchase to the 2017 Punctuation Party. Thank you to The Consulate General of Mexico, San Francisco for making Germán Montalvo's Punctuation Party poster design possible.
