The San Francisco Center for the Book is a 501(C)3 nonprofit educational organization that depends on the involvement and generosity of individuals and on contributions from foundations and government agenices including the
National Endowment for the Arts to provide many of its education initiatives, public events and book-arts programming.
There are four ways you can help support the activities at the SFCB:
Our Donor Program: Support our 2008 Mid-Year Campaign!
The Center relies on individuals and corporate sponsors for help in
supporting our many programs and activities. Cherished members of the SFCB
community, donors enjoy special keepsakes, invitation-only events and more.
Donate your gift of $250 or more by April 30, 2008 and receive a special keepsake print from our past Roadworks events — plus an invitation to the donor preview for Livros do Cordel: Book on a String on May 8th.
You can become a
donor online
or by contacting Executive Director Dyana Curreri-Ermatinger
at
dyana@sfcb.org or by phone 415-565-0545.

Our Volunteer Program
Helping out at the Center is a wonderful way to learn more about the book arts, make friends, earn free classes and more. We have a wealth of volunteer activities — from answering phones, staffing events, helping with publicity, setting up exhibitions, proof-reading, designing workshop flyers, to printing letterpress invitations and much more. We welcome volunteers on weekdays, evenings and weekends. If you are interested in contributing your time and energy to the Center, contact our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@sfcb.org or 415-565-0545 between 10 am and 5 pm. We'll help make a match between your talents and interests and our current volunteer projects.
Thanks to our dedicated volunteers this past trimester
