AUCTION, APRIL 27, 2010 OFFERS WORK DONATED BY 50+ ARTISTS FEATURING CHUCK
HOBSON, LINDA CONNOR, JOHN HERSEY, THACHER HURD

The San Francisco Center for the Book (SFCB), home to the art of the handmade book, has confirmed
Tuesday, April 27 as their evening showcase of exquisite examples illustrating traditional and
experimental book art forms. Works donated by established artists and friends of the Center will be available as a part of the Silent Auction and Cocktail Party, beginning with an early-bidder’s
Preview Hour at 6:00-7:00 pm, followed by the open bid period from 7:00-8:30 pm.

Serious and casual collectors alike will have the opportunity to acquire fine press, letterpress editions, artists’ books, posters and related objet d’art from over 50 artists. Attendees can silently bid on items in every price range while enjoying live music, plentiful hors d’oeurves, and fine wine throughout the evening.

2010 Auction Committee members, Mary Risala Laird, Chair, Charles Hobson,
Peter and Donna Thomas,Macy Chadwick, Prudy Kohler, Peter Linenthal and Tom Killion will join a list of 50+ participating artists including Jamie Brunson, Linda Connor, Sas Colby, Carl Dern, Rory Golden,
Sevilla Granger, John Hersey, David Liitschwager, Howard Munson, Naomi Pitcairn, Lisa Rappoport,
Suzie Rahskis, Evelyn Rosenbaum, Heather Wilcoxon, Claire Van Fleet in contributing artwork.
